Most business idea resources hand you a concept and wish you luck. You still have to do the market research, figure out the architecture, estimate the TAM, validate the customer, and somehow find time to actually write code. By the time you’ve done all of that, weeks have passed and the momentum that made the idea feel worth pursuing is gone.
Today we’re launching ForgeDrops — a weekly service that delivers a fully packaged business blueprint every Monday. Not just the concept. The whole package: market research, implementation guide, and working code starters. One drop per week, ready to build the same day you read it.
What Goes Into a Drop
Each drop is a complete business blueprint package is built around a single curated idea. There are three components, which correspond to the three purchase tiers.
The Depth Document
The depth document is the strategic layer. It covers everything you’d normally spend a week researching before writing any code: total addressable market, competitor landscape, target customer profile, and an honest assessment of where the market has room. It’s not an optimistic pitch deck. It’s the kind of document you’d want before deciding whether an idea is worth three months of your time.
Each drop is selected based on a real market gap — not generated from a brainstorming list. The depth document explains the gap, who currently serves the market and how, and why the timing makes sense for a solo builder to enter it now.
The Implementation Guide
The implementation guide translates the strategy into a concrete build plan. It specifies a database schema, makes specific architecture decisions, and lays out a phased build sequence — from the simplest version that could generate revenue through the features that support growth.
The guide is opinionated. It picks a stack. It makes a call on whether to build multi-tenant from day one or add it later. It decides how to handle auth, payments, and storage. You can deviate from those choices, but you won’t spend the first week of your build stuck on tooling decisions. That work is already done.
Code Starters
The code starters are working code — not pseudocode, not a scaffold with empty functions. Real starter code that implements the core data models, basic API structure, or primary UI components described in the implementation guide. The goal is to get past the blank file problem: the moment before starting when nothing exists and everything still needs to be decided, which turns out to be the moment when a lot of projects stall.
How ForgeDrops Works
A new drop goes live every Monday. Each drop is available in full to subscribers for 14 days before it opens to the public — an embargo window that gives subscribers a first-mover advantage on each idea before anyone else can access it.
The drops are free to browse. You don’t need an account to read the concept and get a feel for the format. When you find an idea worth building, you buy the package.
Packages are one-time purchases. Three tiers:
- Lean — the concept and depth document
- Standard — depth document plus the implementation guide
- Complex — depth document, implementation guide, and working code starters
Subscriptions are optional. At $9.99 per month (or $99/year, which includes two months free), a subscription gets you the 14-day early window on every drop, 10% off any package purchase, weekly notifications, and access to the ForgeDrops Discord community. If you browse weekly and expect to buy a few packages over the year, the math works out quickly. But there’s no pressure — any drop can be purchased at full price without subscribing.
Individual package prices: Lean at $29, Standard at $99, Complex at $249. Subscribers pay 10% less on all of these.
Who ForgeDrops Is For
ForgeDrops is designed for three overlapping groups of builders looking for blueprints to start new businesses, with a good jumpstart to the implementation .
Solo founders who want to build a business without a team. The research, competitive analysis, and architecture planning that would normally be distributed across a founding team falls entirely on one person. ForgeDrops handles that layer so a solo founder can focus on the work only they can do: building the product and talking to customers.
Indie hackers who ship fast and want to keep their pipeline full. The biggest constraint for a prolific builder usually isn’t speed — it’s knowing what to build next. ForgeDrops provides a curated option every week, pre-researched and pre-architected. If this week’s idea isn’t the right fit, next Monday brings another one.
Developers who want to build a product but aren’t sure what’s worth building. For technically strong builders, the hardest part is often the selection, not the implementation. Which idea has a real market? Which one can a single developer build in a reasonable timeframe? Which one isn’t already dominated by a well-funded competitor? The depth document answers those questions before you commit any time.
The 14-Day Embargo
The subscriber embargo is worth explaining separately because it’s not just a discount mechanism — it’s a competitive head start.
When a new drop goes live, subscribers get full access immediately. The public waits two weeks. That’s two weeks to read the research, evaluate the market, purchase the package, and start building before the idea is widely available. For ideas where timing matters — or where being first to ship creates a distribution advantage — that window is real.
Two weeks doesn’t guarantee anything. But it’s long enough to make a decision and start moving. And for builders who take the service seriously, the cumulative effect of having early access to new drops throughout the year adds up to a consistent first-look advantage over builders who access the public release.
Why We Built ForgeDrops
We’ve shipped enough products internally at EchoForgeX to know what the pre-build phase costs in time. Market research, competitor mapping, architecture decisions, schema design — for each product we’ve built, this work happened before anyone wrote a feature. It’s not optional work. It determines whether the build that follows is aimed at a real problem with a real path to revenue.
ForgeDrops packages that work so other builders don’t have to start from scratch each time. The ideas are curated, not generated in bulk. The research is done properly, not summarized from the first few search results. The implementation guides make real decisions, not hedged ones. The model exists because we think there’s a meaningful gap between “here’s an idea” and “here’s everything you need to start building today.”
Start With the Current Drop
ForgeDrops is live now at forgedrops.io. The current drop is free to read — no account needed. If you want to see what the depth document and implementation guide actually look like before deciding whether the format works for you, that’s the place to start.
New drops go live every Monday. If this week’s idea isn’t the right fit, there’s another one next week.
